Privacy Policy

This policy covers two apps operated by Marc Robitaille, doing business as MS Crops ("we," "us"): Farm Cropper, a mobile app and web portal that let farm owners and their teams track equipment location, working passes, and communicate about day-to-day operations; and MS Budget Plus, a personal budgeting app. It explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Farm Cropper
Who this applies to
Farm Cropper is a business tool. An account belongs to a farm owner, who creates seats for operators (workers) to use the mobile app under that account. This policy applies to everyone who uses the app or web portal, whether as an owner or as an operator seat created by an owner.
What we collect
- Location data, including while the app is in the background during active recording — used to record the paths ("tracks") of seeding, harvesting, spraying, and other passes, and to show live position on the account's map to the account owner and other members of the account.
- Recorded track data — the paths, dates, activity type, crop details, and (if entered) cost information for passes recorded in the app.
- Messages, photos, and voice notes sent through the app's messaging feature, to whoever they're addressed to (another member of the account, or Farm Cropper support).
- Caution-area markers and dispatch information created by anyone on the account, visible to other members of that same account.
- Account and device information — name, account/user number, device identifiers, and app version, used for sign-in, support, and to let you know when an app update is available.
- Diagnostic information you choose to submit, such as a bug report.
We do not collect card or bank details. Payments are handled by our reseller, described under "Payments" below.
Who sees it
Data recorded under a farm account — location, tracks, messages, caution areas, dispatch info — is visible to that account's owner and, depending on the data, to other members of the same account. That's the core purpose of the app: giving an owner visibility into their team's work. Farm Cropper staff can access account data only as needed to provide support or maintain the service, and we never sell or share this data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
How long we keep it
- Tracks recorded on a device without a signed-in farm account, or while the account can't be confirmed as active (for example, no signal), are kept locally on that device for 30 days and removed if never synced.
- Data tied to an active, signed-in farm account is retained for as long as the account remains open, or as needed to meet legal obligations.
- Records tied to an operator seat that's later removed from an account remain part of that farm account's history, the same way they would for any team member leaving a business tool — the account owner controls that account's data.
Your choices
When you first sign in — or use the app without an account — you're shown exactly what's collected and asked to agree before any location or track data is shared with our server. You can decline, though the app's core features require this to work, since sharing this data with your farm's account is what the app is for.
Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to account data is restricted to authenticated members of that account and to Farm Cropper staff providing support.
Children
Farm Cropper is a business tool for farm operations and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
MS Budget Plus
Your budget figures never leave your phone. There is no account to create. When the app opens it checks once for a newer version and for notices we need to send; that check carries no name and nothing you have typed. Backups are plain files you store wherever you choose.
If you buy a licence, we keep the email address you paid with, the licence type and its expiry, and an identifier for the phone the licence is active on. We use these only to deliver the licence, to move it to a new phone when you ask (we email a six-digit code to confirm), and to answer support requests.
Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle collects and processes your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy. We receive the details needed to provide what you bought — your name, email address, country, what you purchased and its status — but never your full card details.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we handle it changes, and update the effective date above.
